Charcoal "Self Portraits"
Students in this high school Art 1 class were given free choice of subject matter with this brand new material for them, with only two rules: the drawing had to represent them in some way, and it could not contain a person.
The original assignment was going to require that they represent themselves as an inanimate object, but students in both sections of this class were interested in drawing themselves as animals instead, so I opened up the rules to allow for more choice.
