Persuasive Posters
Students in this high school Introduction to Digital Art class were presented with the challenge of designing posters that would persuade, uplift, and/or effect social change.
Students were required to choose from several Photoshop techniques that we learned over the course of several class sessions, but their choice of inspirational quote or political cause was entirely open-ended.
We discussed the concept of creating a "call to action" by making a clear statement, appealing to the audience's emotions, and marrying text and image together to create a strong visual impact.
