Still Life Drawings

Students in this high school Art 1 class learned about value scale, proportion, perspective, and observational drawing while creating their own still life compositions from objects found around the classroom.

This was no easy feat for many of the students! Some had not taken any art classes for several years and most had very little drawing experience. We got there eventually, though— so many students impressed me with their ability to persevere through what seemed to be, at first, and insurmountable task.
